about

Most folks know about Golombisky for his free and experimental jazz-ish bass playing and larger ensemble composing and conducting, but his life has also brought several years of studying the greats of classical and 20th century classical composers into the mix. As well as receiving a Master's degree from the University of New Orleans, after a stint at Northwestern University (Chicago), in composition. This piece solidified his receiving his Master's degree. A piece that was being composed in New Orleans with the great Dr. Jerry Sieg as his main/only professor, but was interrupted by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, hence the name, "What to do now" as many of us NOLA residences were thinking. The piece was continued to be composed and completed in Chicago, where he moved.

It was premiered in Innsbruck, Austria in 2006.
